DVV International Ukraine Office is pleased to inform you about the launch of a newsletter which includes information about adult education for practitioners in this field. This issue introduces the Council Resolution on a new European Agenda for Adult Learning 2021-2030, a visit of DVV International Director Christoph Jost to the Ukraine, updates of the project 'Soviet past: Rethinking the History', and a panel discussion on well-being in learning.

DVV International Ukraine Office is glad to inform you about a launch of a newsletter, which includes information about adult education for the representatives of this field. In this issue, you may get to know about the Council Resolution on a new European agenda for adult learning 2021-2030, a visit of DVV International Director Christoph Jost to Ukraine, updates of the project 'Soviet past: Rethinking the History', and a panel discussion on well-being in learning. 

 

 

The Council of the European Union adopted a resolution on a New European Agenda for Adult Learning. The agenda recognizes the need for holistic adult learning and education provision that takes into account the needs of all groups of learners.

The project 'Soviet past: Rethinking the History’ starts receiving the competition entries. Secondary school students aged 14-18 are eligible to submit collective research projects. Several educational workshops for history teachers have been conducted in the project's framework. It is expected that these teachers will organize the research process of the student team on the ground. Follow the project updates on Facebook.

DVV International Director Christoph Jost visited Ukraine in November 2021 in order to learn more deeply about the current project work of DVV International in the country, visit partners, and discuss with stakeholders further development of the adult learning and education sector.

Well-being in learning brings return on investment. Such a thesis appeared as one of the outcomes of a Lifelong Learning Interest Group's meeting, which took place online on December 1. The panel was held under the theme 'Funding Education for Wellbeing'. During the discussion, the experts from OECD, UNESCO, Euro Health Net, as well as other EU representatives introduced their data and perspectives on well-being in learning.
