News

On 21st/22nd September we were delighted to host at the School of Education, University of Glasgow, Professor Jian Huang (Deputy Director of the Institute of Vocational and Adult Education, East China Normal University) and her colleague Mr. Duang Wenlong, who travelled to us after having been at the UNESCO Learning Cities conference in Cork.

They made a series of visits organised by Dr Lesley Doyle to Adult Education, Community Development and Youth groups and settings, including the Prince’s Trust, in Glasgow and met with a number of staff at the university.

Here they are seen with Professor Michael Osborne, Professor Ya Ping Wang (Urban Studies), Dr Moyra Boyland (Deputy Head of the School of Education) and Dr Lesley Doyle (image right).

We have worked previously with Professor Huang through the Research Networks to which the University belongs within the ASEM (Asia/Europe) Research Hub for Lifelong Learning (http://asemlllhub.org/researchnetworks/) and looked forward to enhanced co-operation in the future.
