Engaging with LGBT and migrant equalities

News

Following the completion of the project ‘Engaging with LGBT and migrant equalities’, we are pleased to announce the publication of two educational resources and an upcoming training event.

One of the resources is intended for the ESOL classroom whilst the other is for youth and community groups. They can both be downloaded for free here:

ESOL toolkit: https://intimatemigrations.net/esol-toolkit/

Youth and community toolkit: https://intimatemigrations.net/youth-and-community-toolkit/

These learning resources are designed to facilitate an exploration of LGBT and migrant lives and, more generally, an engagement with issues of equality and diversity.

Training event

We are planning an event in Glasgow on 30 April (12.30-4.15 pm) to share ideas and experiences of how to use the resource. The event will be an opportunity to:

  • discuss equality and diversity issues in practice (this can be recognised as a form of training or professional development)
  • get a copy of the resource
  • try out some of the activities in facilitated workshops
  • network with people working in your field

Attendance is free but booking is essential. You can register at the link below:

Feedback

We would like feedback from practitioners about how they use the resource and how it is received. Please consider completing this short questionnaire to help us evaluate the resource:
