Under the motto "vhs 2030: Together in Diversity. Sustainable. Connected", the 15th Adult Education Conference (Volkshochschultag) will address the three major issues of the future that pose new challenges for us politically and socially, and thus also for adult education. For almost two days, more than 800 colleagues from our Adult Education Centres (vhs), international guests, representatives from politics, business and academia, as well as cooperation partners from adult education and other areas of civil society to exchange experiences, will meet in Leipzig to discuss and develop new ideas for the practice of Adult Education.

The 15th Adult Education Conference sums up the current challenges in a concise formula: Wir bilden weiter! (We educate further!) With this, we jointly express: Even under the difficult conditions of the Corona pandemic, the approximately 900 Adult Education Centres are present and offer people space for encounters, for exchange and for the acquisition of competences. "Wir bilden weiter" also means: we use the Adult Education Day to look forward together and to develop further in a joint learning process growing from the challenges. And what better image to symbolise this than a tree, with strong roots and reaching branches that together form an organic whole.
