AoC College HE Research and Scholarship Conference 2017 - Confirmed programme

News

We are pleased to announce the final programme for the third AoC College HE Research and Scholarship Conference taking place on Tuesday 27 June 2017 in Birmingham.

The conference will present and discuss emerging models of research and scholarship as well as showcase the work undertaken by college HE practitioners and students.

Keynote speakers include Dr. Alex Zahavich, Vice President of Corporate Development and Applied Research, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and John Lea, Director, HEFCE/AoC Catalyst Fund Scholarship Project.

This year some of the themes are:

  • Students as partners in learning
  • Colleges and employers working in partnership
  • Developing the Professional and Technical Education Curriculum

Delegates who attended the conference last year said:

"A really interesting, insightful and well organised conference that I enjoyed immensely. I left feeling that I had benefited both personally and professionally. I would urge anyone with an interest in CHE to attend next year’s conference."
Andrew Wilson, Lecturer, Hull College

"In the fight to enhance the perception of HE within FECs, the AoC HE Research and Scholarship Conference provided an environment in which the weapons of argument and persuasion could be gathered and honed. To see – and hear – so many like-minded people, to realise the scale of what is going on across the country in FE Colleges, long regarded the poor relation of Higher Education, was as comforting as it was inspiring. An excellent day spent with excellent people."
Tracey Eastham, HE Senior Tutor,  Blackpool and The Fylde College

To register to attend, please visit the conference website. There are limited places available at £165 + VAT for AoC member colleges. Student researchers can attend for just £45+VAT.

We look forward to welcoming you at the conference.

Kind regards,

The AoC Scholarship Project team
