Briefing Paper 4: Mapping cultural and nonformal education

This briefing paper explores the adapted version of online participatory mapping, the challenges, and benefits, as well as some preliminary findings of engaging in this process.

We aim to showcase that mapping cultural and nonformal education activities represents an opportunity to locate current resources and infrastructure at community level to promote peacebuilding.

The CR&DALL project, Educational Peacebuilding in Medellin and Acapulco: Understanding the role of education, culture and learning in responding to crises, is funded by the British Academy under its Education and Learning in Crisis programme through the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy via the Global Challenges Research Fund from March 2020 to December 2021.
