Equity Practitioners in Higher Education in Australasia (EPHEA) and National Association of Enabling Educators in Australia (NAEEA) is pleased to host the 2019 EPHEA/NAEEA Biennial Conference themed “Enabling Excellence through Equity” from Sunday 24 to Wednesday 27 November 2019 at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus.

Submissions for refereed papers, poster presentations and showcase presentations have been extended until Monday 10th June. You can submit your abstract or refereed paper via our website. Remember in 2019 EPHEA & NAEEA have partnered with the Student Success Journal, with opportunities for refereed papers to be included in a special issue.

Are you a staff equity practitioner? We want to hear from you!

Have you thought about submitting an abstract? The content is created by you so please consider sharing what is happening at your institution. In particular, we are keen to see our staff equity experts contributing so don't be shy. Some key areas might include:
 
  • learnings from those who submitted Athena Swan/SAGE applications, WGEA employer of choice, or working on institutional strategies to support gender equity
  • strategies for supporting staff who are LGBTIQ+, have a disability or work in the Indigenous employment space
  • how is your University supporting mental health? Health Universities strategies that support both staff and students will be of particular interest
  • anti-discrimination, diversity and inclusion and safer campuses strategies for both staff and students are also front of mind.
