Quest | Issue 1 2022

Welcome to our first issue of Quest for 2022 featuring stories about life-changing adult education programs. Prison education opens doors, bilingual course engineers success, tips for maths anxiety, ACE news and more.

In Queensland, Green Fox Training Studio offers prisoners the chance to learn digital and design skills that give them pathways to a new life outside. In Bendigo in country Victoria, a Learn Local and a TAFE college have devised a vocational program with bilingual support so the local Karen community can learn a trade and local employers can employ much needed staff.

We've got an update on our #AdultEd4All campaign with some quick and easy actions you can take to highlight the importance of adult community education in the lead up to the federal election. We've also got tips on overcoming maths anxiety for those who feel nervous about teaching — and learning — numeracy skills. And we've included a round up of ACE in each state as well as news from our members.

We hope you enjoy this issue and encourage you to share it through your networks. You can read full issues of Quest or individual articles in the stories section of our website.

Regards

Gina Perry
