SHLC Bulletin - August 2020

Thank you for your continued input and feedback on the questionnaire for the household survey and neighbourhood selection. The preparation for the survey is nearing completion, and we are excited to have received full ethics approval from the University of Glasgow’s ethics committee with just some small future actions. The final questionnaire to be piloted and guidance documentation will follow in next two weeks. Hopefully, we can commence the pilot survey and fieldwork in most cities in the next couple of months, but as COVID-19 continues we urge you to remember that safety is always our first priority.

Last week, SHLC researchers participated in a suite of webinars hosted by OnThinkTanks focused on improving communication skills for research impact. We hope you found the webinars beneficial and enjoyable. If you were unable to attend, or would like a refresher, you can click the link in the story below for webinar recordings and resource material.

We are looking ahead to UN-Habitat's Urban October, which gives us an excellent opportunity to promote our work. If you have any ideas for blog pieces or virtual events, please get in touch with Gail. As always, if you have any news or have read a research article you would like to share with the rest of the team, remember to send updates to our project team to be included in the next SHLC Bulletin: [email protected]. Take care and stay safe!
