Summary biography: 

Samir Halliru is a lecturer in Adult Education and Community Development at Bayero University, Kano Nigeria. He holds B.ed Adult Education and Community Development and MED Community Development from Bayero University, Kano and also holds MSC Adult and Continuing Education and PhD in Adult and Continuing Education from University of Glasgow. He is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow. He is interested in lifelong learning, Community Development and Social Work Education. He is a Board member of SCUTREA and editor in many Journals both in Nigeria and abroad.
