4th European Vocational Skills Week 14-18 October 2019 Helsinki

The 4th European Vocational Skills Week takes place during the 14-18 October 2019 throughout Europe. At the time of writing, there are 1138 events taking place in 45 countries. A very informative interactive map is provided on the European Commission's dedicated Vocational Skills Week web space (click the image below).

Through education people can develop the skills and knowledge they need to engage in meaningful work; to participate fully as a citizen in a vibrant democracy; to live in harmony in a diverse, multicultural and rapidly changing society; to manage their health and wellbeing and live fulfilled and meaningful lives.

The Fourth International Conference on Learning Cities, was jointly organized by the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UiL) and the Municipality of Medellín; during the 2-day Conference from 1-3 October 2019, there were around 650 conference participants, including 50 mayors, as well as government representatives and experts in the field of education.
