UNESCO Chair Resources: Video guide/bibliography for training in community-based research (CBR)

The UNESCO Chair in community-based research (CBR), in partnership with the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) at the University of British Columbia are pleased to share new resources on training in CBR. These products are some of the outcomes of the SSHRC funded 'Building the Next Generation of Community-based Researchers (“The NextGen project”) between 2014-2016.

PASCAL 2016 Conference in Glasgow 3-5 June ***UPDATES***

The PASCAL 2016 Conference in Glasgow 3-5 June, 2016 is less than a month away. Practioners from around the World are attending to present and discuss an exciting range of issues on their experience to date with and future directions for Learning Cities.

Showcases from 15+ cites and 64+ presentations and papers will be featured. Cities as diverse as Taipei, Beijing, Townsville, Erbil, Duhok, Acireale, Glasgow, Swansea, Cork and Bristol have confirmed that they will be attending and promoting their work. Speakers include Raul Valdes Cotera from the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL).

Healthy lifestyles: A Mediterranean experience in Mallorca

IX International Summer Senior University: “Healthy lifestyles: A Mediterranean experience in Mallorca” is a one-week lifelong learning programme in a ludic and Mediterranean context, aimed at students elder than 50 years. This programme is English taught and oriented towards intercultural understanding among people from different European countries. It takes place in September (4th to 10th) in a mild warm and off-peak season.
