All across Europe on the last Friday in September the EU celebrates research and researchers with huge public engagement events. Scotland’s three biggest cities joined the party to showcase our work to the wider community and invite people to get up close and hands on with our world leading research.
On the 50th anniversary of International Literacy Day on 8 September 2016, UNESCO launched the third Global Report on Adult Learning and Education (GRALE III). The chief purpose of GRALE III is to take stock of countries’ progress in implementing the commitments to adult learning and education (ALE) made at the 2009 International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VI).
