I am one of the lead authors of the Education chapter for the International Panel for Social Progress (modelled on the International Panel for Climate Change). The whole report is now out for consultation and so if you can spare a bit of time the IPSP team would love to hear your thoughts on the Education chapter or any other chapters that interest you.
If you haven’t already submitted your application and you would like your project to be included in the 2017 UALL Awards, please do send me your submission by the end of October - the Awards flyer is attached.
Last week, ESREA organised its triennial conference at Maynooth University in Ireland. The conference was a great success, both due to the local organizers who had made tremendous job, as well as due to all colleagues from all over Europe and beyond who went there to present their research and/or engage in colleagial discussions about issues at stake in adult education research and practice.
Particularly worth noting in this edition are calls for papers relating to the 3rd International Skills Conference in Miri (Malaysia), MEDKNOW 2017 in Faro (Portugal), the 2nd International Conference on Crossing Boundaries in VET in Rostock (Germany) (see Conferences) and the 24th VET & Culture conference in Tampere (see Networks) and invitations to the Transnational Winter School in Würzburg, the Python course for social scientists in Amsterdam (see Programmes) and the EmployID online course on the Changing World of Work (see Projects).
