The UEA UNESCO Chair newsletter has just been published and you can read all about our recent international research, training and policy-engagement activities. Also to highlight that UEA will be hosting a memorial event for Professor Alan Rogers – this will be a hybrid event on Friday 2nd December at the University of East Anglia, Norwich (UK), organised in collaboration with BALID (British Association for Literacy In Development).
We are very pleased to report a new research project hosted by CR&DALL. Waste Stories is a project whose PI is CR&DALL core member, Anna Wilson, Reader in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education. It is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and concerns using the affective power of story-making to try to change people's relationships with waste and the resources that end up in the waste stream. The Co-I of the project is Greg Singh of the University of Stirling, and Hannah Hamilton at the University of Glasgow is a Research Associate.
The Centre for Sustainable Healthy Learning Cities and Neighbourhoods (SHLC) has now produced its second animation, which concerns the Impact of its Capacity Strengthening work in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The animation is presented here and can also be found at this link, and we hope that subscribers will find it of interest.
