The notion that we miss basic information on the systems of adult learning and education is repeated again and again. DVV International and its partners are trying hard to overcome that situation for the generation robust data as well as qualitative research findings to enable better monitoring. They have succeded very well with their work in Armenia, Bosnis & Hercegovina, Georgia and Kosovo.

IAL would like to invite you to Singapore’s inaugural Global Lifelong Learning Summit, to be held on 1 and 2 November 2022. The Summit aspires to be a new international platform for urgent dialogue on how lifelong learning can support inclusive economic growth and help workers adapt to increasingly rapid changes to their workplace and their work requirements.

We are pleased to announce that a grant of £605,095.18 (Full Economic Cost) has been awarded as an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Standard Grant, entitled,  A UK-Ireland investigation into the statistical evidence-base underpinning adult learning and education-policy making. The PrincipaI Investigator is CR&DALL Core Member, Professor Ellen Boeren. Co-Investigators are Dr Queralt Capsada-Munsech also of the University of Glasgow and Professor John Holford and Dr Sharon Clancy at the University of Nottingham. The project has strong links with the Learning & Work Institute, and starts in early 2023.
