The 2020 Higher Education Reform Conference (HER2020) | Sustainable Development Goals: Their potential and relevance for higher education policy and reform is currently suspended but we are planning "HER2021" to take place in Glasgow in the Autumn (Aug/Sept) of 2021
I am delighted to share the news that we will be hosting the 4th Martha Farrell Awards 2019-2020 over a Virtual Award Presentation Ceremony, on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. The ceremony was originally scheduled for April 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This edition of the PIMA Bulletin is guest-edited by researchers at RMIT University, Australia, and presents a snapshot of work being undertaken by members and associates of the European Union-funded Jean Monnet Network, which is based in the European Union Centre of Excellence at RMIT University.
The annual conference of the University Network of the European Capitals of Culture was this Autumn to be organised by the Moore Institute for Research in the Humanities and Social Studies of the National University of Ireland (NUI)in Galway. Unfortunately, the conference had to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 crisis.
I am very pleased to announce that five core members of CR&DALL have recently received promotions at the University of Glasgow. Lavinia Hirsu, Srabani Maitra, and Kate Reid have each been promoted to Senior Lecturer; Catherine Lido and Bonnie Slade have been promoted to professor, making our complement of chairs in Adult Education four, which surely might represent a unique moment in the field in the UK.
