Alan Britton has been awarded a major new EU Development Education and Awareness Raising (DEAR) Fund grant. The research project is entitled ‘Walk the Global Walk’, which is a 3 year project, led jointly by Oxfam in Italy, and the Region of Tuscany.
We are delighted to publish Heribert Hinzen's reflections on receiving the Doctor Honoris Causa title from the Moldova State University on 24 April 2018. This honour was bestowed on Professor Hinzen on the basis of his wor for DVV International and the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) “in the process of adult education and the development of international policy documents on adult education and the quality of education in general.” It is very pleasing to hear that such an award has been made to one of the world's leading adult educators.
I had the pleasure of attending and presenting a keynote of the topic of Big Data and Adult Education at the Fifth International Conference on Adult Education, Education for values – continuity and context, which was held in Iasi, Romania – April 25th–27th, 2018 and Chisinau, Moldova - April 27th–28th, 2018 under the overall leadership of Prof. Laurențiu Șoitu, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, University of Iasi.
