BBC Radio Scotland ‘Sunday Morning with Sally Magnusson’ on 3rd Sept 2017, featured the Dalbeattie Men’s Shed in a long piece. This article was announced as being part of the BBC Scotland’s initiative against loneliness. This theme has strongly featured Sheds over the last few months.

We are very pleased to announce that Dr Mia Perry has been successful in winning a new project funded under the aegis of the GCRF AHRC-MRC global partnership grants. The project concerns ensuring the sustainability of a public health palliative care project in Bangladesh through community theatre.
The consultation seeks views on the independent review of student support in further and higher education in Scotland, chaired by Jayne-Anne Gadhia. The review and consultation takes place in the wider context of Scottish Government ambitions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the post-16 learner journey and work on Widening Access.
