eucen’s Autumn Seminar - How to establish and maintain financial sustainability in ULLL/UCE centres - Keys and tips to success - will take place in Barcelona on Thursday 16 - Friday 17 November 2017. By stimulating dialogue, gathering new ideas and working together towards new collaborations and projects, this year’s autumn seminar will tackle the following topics: Financial models of ULLL/UCE centres using different sources of funding; Identification of flagship programs, Open enrolment and Custom programs for diverse stakeholders; ROI calculations in training environments; and, Balancing Financial Sustainability with the institutions’ Social Mission.
We are pleased to announce that this new UALL Network was officially launched at a recent event held in Wales – this was the first of what we hope are regional seminars. The PROFIT project aims at creating a web platform for promoting financial awareness and improving the financial capability of citizens and market participants. More than a year has passed and the PROFIT team has been occupied with researching, designing and implementing the platform, as well as presenting the project in various events and conferences.

The Opening Educational Practices in Scotland (OEPS) Project was funded for 3 years from Summer 2014 until Summer2017 and ended on the 31st July. The project had a focus on the use of open education in widening participation and lifelong learning. There is an extensive collection of free courses, reports, briefings, case studies and workshop design that are all openly licensed and available for use and reversioning that will be available beyond the end of the project on 31st July 2017.
