In the Bulletin we aim to give you a regular update on what has been happening in the world of higher education lifelong learning as reported by the press, Government and public bodies, individuals, as well as items relating to UALL member institutions. We also aim to alert you to a selection of forthcoming events and policy matters.
Dr. Margaret Sutherland, senior lecturer in inclusive education in the School of Education and Depute Director of CR&DALL, was recently appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board of the National Association of Special Educational Needs (NASEN). This is an overarching Board of NASEN’s three academic peer reviewed journals: British Journal of Special Education (BJSE), Journal of Research in Special Education (JORSEN) and Support for Learning (SfL).
The 26th annual conference of the European Access Network (EAN) will take place September 20-22, 2017 at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, Germany. It is hosted by ArbeiterKind.de, Germany´s largest network for first generation students. The overall conference theme is ‘Sharing stories of empowerment: Creating new strategies for diversity and inclusion in higher education’.

The Department for Lifelong Learning at the University of Sheffield is advertising for a part-time (0.6) University Tutor in Human Biology. An ability to contribute to teaching of foundation level mathematics, statistical analysis, research methods and/or another scientific area of study would be an advantage.
