ESREA Newsletter - Number 2, Summer 2016

In this second newsletter of 2016 there are only a few up-dates. For instance, some new conferences are included and a new book. Please, also find some extended deadlines and second call for papers. If you are interested in going “down under” the ELOA network is organizing a study tour for ESREA members next year - more info in announcements. RELA has some thematic call for papers out and deadline is getting closer (1 of July).

A growing challenge for all researchers, and especially for those in Social Sciences like Adult Learning Education, is to demonstrate the social impact or concrete benefits to the educational practices and policies that result from their research projects. Both policy makers as society are concerned with the use and the returns to society of the investment that is being done to the researchers, and so evaluation agencies are increasingly taking into account this dimension.

ASEM LLL Hub Symposium in Glasgow

Supporting Adult Education for a Sustainable Life Course: Asian and European perspectives on Education, Work and Citizenship

This Symposium jointly hosted by CR&DALL at the University of Glasgow and the Centre for Learning and Life Chances in Knowledge Economies and Societies (LLakes), UCL Institute of Education, London on behalf of the ASEM LLL Hub has just successfully completed its first day with some 70 delegates from Asia and Europe.
