Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland, visited an Edinburgh foodbank on Tuesday 17 December. He condemned the sharp rise in the use of foodbanks as highlighted in a Scottish Government report today as "absolutely unacceptable".
The workshop offers a forum for presenting original and high-quality research on the different aspects of the green economy approach in the Gulf, both examining current developments and plans and looking at the likely future course. We welcome papers examining individual country case studies, comparative studies and regional-level studies.
The 2014 BAICE conference will be held from 8 - 10 September, 2014 at the University of Bath on the theme of “Power, Politics and Priorities for Comparative and International Education.” The conference challenges participants to consider how comparisons are used as part of wider political agendas, to investigate power relationships in educational policy and practice, and to critically consider priorities for contemporary research. Papers will focus on the following sub-themes:
Professor Mike Osborne and Dr Muir Houston of PASCAL and CR&DALL are involved in a new project funded under the Erasmus Multilateral funding stream which builds on the work of the THEMP project.
