Join the GUNi International Call to Action 2023-2026

The International Call to Action (GUNi-ICA) is an initiative of the GUNi Network aimed at higher education institutions interested in embarking on a transformation and innovation process to respond to the future challenges of a globalised and changing world. Any HEI that is a member of the GUNi Network and wants to be part of a space of reflection and action, leading a process of change, is welcome to join the GUNi-ICA.

Unbalanced and rapid economic and industrial growth in all human societies has caused many harmful consequences to the environment and mankind. Such a harmful situation has caused the United Nations to pay attention to the strategic issue of sustainable development and the need to review and modify development policies and strategies in all countries, in the line with SDGs in the 2030 Agendas.

CR&DALL member Professor Ellen Boeren paid a visit to UCLA this May. During her 3 weeks in Los Angeles, she worked with Dr Jan Kalenda, currently a Fulbright scholar at UCLA, and previously a visiting scholar at the University’s of Glasgow School of Education. Professor Boeren and Dr Kalenda also met with Professor Richard Desjardins, core staff at UCLA, who has vast experience in researching varieties in Adult Learning Systems as well as in working with large scale survey data, including the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC).
