The 9th Nordic Conference on Adult Education and Learning constitutes a meeting place for researchers, policy makers, organisational leaders, and practitioners. Speakers, plenary debates, and paper sessions will explore how adult education can turn todays' challenges into new opportunities and support the development of societies where new possibilities are generated.

Over the last eighteen months PIMA (PASCAL International Members Association), in collaboration with the Canadian Association for Studies in Adult Education (CASAE), Adult Learning Australia (ALA) and Standing Conference on University Teaching and Research in Education of Adults (SCUTREA), has led a series of Climate Justice and Adult Learning and Education (ALE) webinars and has produced a special edition of the its PIMA Bulletin 39 (Nov 21) which captures climate justice themes and gives examples.  With recurrent intensified climate events, yet no apparent sense of urgency in many regions, we wish to deepen the dialogue and educational actions.

UNESCO is conducting a global survey to collect information that will help revise a landmark legal instrument on education for international understanding, cooperation, peace, human rights and environmental sustainability, known as the 1974 Recommendation.

Supporting Neurodiversity in the Workplace

This project, which aims to promote neurodiversity and to support neurodivergent staff and PGRs in having the same high-quality experience at the University of Glasgow has been supported by the Wellcome Trust ISSF Equalities fund (£60,653). Given the lack of published literature in this field and the clearly rising unmet need, an academic as well as practical approach has been taken in order to disseminate learning from this project to as wide an audience as possible.
