This volume provides an in-depth analysis of historical and recent developments of senior learning in Taiwan, where publications in English have been scant. It takes a broader view on lifelong learning and active ageing from a theoretical/conceptual base written by prominent international authors- this represents the ‘outside in’ perspective. The ‘inside out’ on the other hand signifies an in-depth investigation of initiatives written by authors from Taiwan who are closely involved with developments in policy and practice.
Under the motto ‘Adult learning and education for sustainable development – a transformative agenda’, the Seventh International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VII) will bring together stakeholders from across the globe to shape the future of adult learning and education over the next decade. As a conference outcome, participants will adopt a new framework for action, which will guide countries’ efforts to promote adult learning and education over the next decade.
There are a number of events scheduled for the coming months by our partner organisations as well as our own joint conference to be held in Glasgow in June.
