All is set for the World Conference on Adult Education CONFINTEA VII in Marrakech on 15-17 June, and the Civil Society Forum on the day before. Just in time, a Special Issue of the International Review of Education, Journal of Lifelong Learning has come out.

The issue starts off with an Introductory Essay (featured below and attached herewith) and then six articles on literacy and lifelong learning, financing, monitoring, and community learning centers follow. The essay concludes with a set of important recommendations.
