This is the theme of the Sixth International Conference on Adult Education which is taking place on November 9-11, 2023 at the Moldova State University. It will be an important challenge and opportunity to share experiences and ideas on the most important questions around peace and sustainable development – in a region that is war-stricken at the moment. It is therefore also a moment where professional solidarity will be possible with colleagues from Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus as well as many countries beyond Central and Eastern Europe.

The event is part of a series of international conferences which were started by Prof. Laurentius Soitu and his team from the University of Iasi. The consortium of partners has been growing beyond Romania and beyond the university context. The attached Concept Note speaks to this in detail and shows the way how to participate. This time the Moldova State University has taken the lead and will be hosted under the leadership of Prof. Vladimir Gutu.

The conference series has been documented quite well and thus created a rich resource in the development of adult learning and education.
