After three months of planning with partners across the globe, including the team from the PASCAL Observatory and the UNESCO UIL team, the launch and day 1 of the inaugural 2020 Global Learning Festival was a huge success!
There was excellent attendance at a huge suite of virtual events including an author talk with First Nations author Anita Heiss; to webinars on using collective impact to measure partnerships; to a youth debate across three countries by young people from a refugee background; to a library writing group teaching on how to write your (next) best seller; to the interactive and engaging launch of Adult Learners Week; to a money matters talk on being financially savvy during these challenging times.
For the lead team from Melton and Wyndham City Council, it was thrilling to see the result of the hard work of the team in bringing together this initiative to support solidarity and innovative learning during these challenging times.
With three more days to go of the festival, and many more events from partners across the globe available to attend, we look forward to having you join us for more learning and networking.
