The Glasgow Intergenerational Mentoring Network is now recruiting mentors to support young people experiencing social and economic disadvantage and who are likely to be the first generation in their families to attend University. These young people may lack the experience and contacts necessary for a successful application to Higher Education.

Researchers from the University of Strathclyde are working in partnership with local secondary schools to develop and deliver one-to-one adult mentoring to pupils. Based in the School of Education, University of Strathclyde and delivered in partnership with Glasgow City Council, the project has been funded by the Big Lottery for three years and is designed as a research and development process.
