ALA Quest - Issue 2, 2022

Welcome to our latest issue of Quest featuring stories and news about life-changing adult education programs around Australia.

In Victoria, Hand Brake Turn is an automotive skills program that gives troubled young people positive learning experiences and confidence to turn their lives around. In WA, women who've suffered domestic violence are learning to navigate a career pathway to financial independence and a new life for themselves and their children.

Also in this issue we're thrilled to announce this year's Adult Learners Week theme and have provided some handy tips on ways to explore the theme and get your organisation involved in Australia's national festival of adult education.

We've also included a round up of adult community education (ACE) news in each state as well as news from our members and from our charity arm the Learning Changes Lives Foundation.

We hope you enjoy this issue and encourage you to share it through your networks. You can read full issues of Quest or share individual articles in the stories section of our website.

Regards

Gina Perry
