Smart technologies' revolutionary impact on manufacturing continues to grow, from design and engineering processes through to production, distribution, and customer experience; all while accelerating operational efficiency and driving enterprise-wide growth. Coined Industry 4.0, it is enabling a hyper-personalisation of the traditional value-chains and experiences of the (digital) workforce and customers, as well as reinventing organisations, their values, and dramatically shifting their revenue sources.

In this context, a group of researchers from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Vysoká Škola Manažmentu/School of Management in Trenčin (Slovakia), the University of Management in Prague (Czech Republic), and the Vistula University in Warsaw (Poland) came together to study these effects on economies of the Visegrád states (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland). In particular, they looked at the impacts of Industry 4.0 on Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) within the region and sought to revitalise public discussion on the topic, as well as to provide policy recommendations on attracting and maintaining investments across the Visegrád Group.

You are cordially invited to attend the Final Project Conference scheduled for the 05 Oct 2020, which will provide an opportunity to find out about the project’s findings, discuss the outcomes, and catch up with the Project Team.
