The Impact of the Pandemic and The Great Resignation on Workplace Bound Psychology Graduates

I provide for CR&DALL subscribers a link to a recently published article I wrote for Eye on Psi Chi, the quarterly magazine of Psi Chi, the international honor society for college/university psychology majors. Much of the paper deals with the skills employers seek during the pandemic.

Not much has changed in the kinds of skills listed in the tables. Overall however, what new graduates need in addition to those skills are higher levels of flexibility and adaptability to the continued changes in the workplace resulting from the pandemic. Since most of them have experienced a couple years of remote and/or hybrid learning, these graduates are veterans of those  modes of communication.

Although my article is directed to undergraduate psychology students, all except the Table 3 data is likely pertain to all or most students, at least in the US.
