The landscapes of higher education have been changing rapidly, with enormous growths in participation rates in many countries across the world and major developments and changes within institutions. The language needed to conceptualise and understand these changes have not been keeping pace. This seminar will address these issues and consider how we can move to a better understanding of the changing nature of higher education.
The seminar title is:
New Languages and Landscapes of Higher Education
The Department of Academic Quality and Development is holding an inaugural seminar on Wednesdaym June 21, between 10.00am and 12.30pm in CEE 6/7 (The CEE Building is number “7” on the campus map http://www.gcu.ac.uk/theuniversity/howtofindus/campusmap/) . The seminar will be presented by Prof Jim Gallacher (Emeritus Professor of Lifelong Learning) and Prof Peter Scott (Commissioner on Fair Access, Universities Scotland Convener).
