The Scotland Malawi Partnership (SMP) and the Active Learning Centre (ALC) hosted a roundtable discussion with Alice Harding Shackelford, UN Women country representative for Malawi on Wednesday 17th July.  MSPs along with  representatives from CR&DALL and NGOs heard Alice speak about the difficulties faced by many women in Malawi.  While there has been much progress towards equality for women, there is still much to do.  Alice emphasised the need for organisations to work together to overcome the gender disparaties that exist.  The picture shows Susan Dalgety (ALC) Alice Harding Shackelford, (UN) and Margaret Sutherland (CR&DALL) following the meeting.
